That's Lauri and FlynnLauri’s here for the weekend and, thankfully, Clint’s not working! We’re going to have a good time with her.

I went to a RS activity this morning where we colored some activity folders for the Humanitarian efforts of the Church and did some get-to-know-you games with the sisters. Then we had an absolutely scrumptious lunch of salads from Cafe Rio. Mmmmmmm…… Better than Stonefire.

Clint had Flynn in the morning and he had to go in to work… ha! So much for the day off. He had to do an edit thing for the movie. So the two boys were at the office until Lauri arrived, then they got her, and Clint finished his work and we all met back at home.

The plan was to walk part of the Freedom Trail and see stuff we hadn’t seen yet. Right after everyone got some food. (Except me, I was stuffed!) We had lunch at the Express, met up with a new guy named Jerry working with Clint, and then headed around the town following the red brick line into town.

Flynn loves walking along the Freedom Trail and tries to balance on the line as he walks. Too bad for the unsuspecting pedestrians trying to walk the opposite direction. He just keeps walking no matter who or what’s in the way.

There was the Haymarket, Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market, The State House, downtown buildings and finally the park at Boston Common. We saw some neat history stuff and froze our nubs off. We made it to the end of the trail at Boston Common so Flynn could show Clint the cool park and the fast slides there. But we were too cold to stay very long.

After our walking through town, we went back home to play games. Jerry came to play too. We got the kids down to sleep and played a good game of Pandemic. Lauri’s been converted. It was bound to happen. With the background she has in problem solving, diseases, and international stuff, she had no chance.
